Port of Matsuyama is a state-of-the-art container terminal port equipped with a quay accommodating 10,000 ton vessels, three transfer cranes, and three terminal gates. A new quay accommodating 40,000 ton vessels is now under construction. The largest population in Shikoku and a variety of industries such as chemistry, fiber, electric devices, and agricultural machinery accumulated in surrounding areas enhance the container transaction which reached approximately 40,000 TEU a year. |
